Polymer Processing Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast

The PPRC builds on well established expertise at Queen's in rotational moulding and polymer extrusion by extending into complementary research areas of injection moulding, blow moulding and thermoforming. A comprehensive testing and analysis facility, to service industrial requirements and support research projects.

PVC Awareness

The PVC Awareness Project was initiated by key players in the industry to heighten the awareness of the benefits of PVC to the general public, opinion formers and policy makers.


REAChAid was established to act as a helpline to assist companies to prepare for the new EU Chemical Regulation REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) that came into force in June 2008. The REACH regulation applies to all chemicals produced, imported, distributed or used and thus poses an unprecedented and costly challenge for Irish companies. The legislation also applies to articles and all involved in the supply chain where chemicals are used. This website provides assistance, advice, training and information to companies from a wide range of sectors, particularly SMEs.

The British Plastics Federation

The British Plastics Federation is the leading trade association for the British Plastics Industry. Membership encompasses polymer producers, suppliers and processors in addition to additive and machinery suppliers and manufacturers.
